Kamari Village in Santorini

Kamari Village

Location: 8 km from Fira, 4 km from the airport, 11 km from the port.

How to go to Kamari: From the central bus station in Fira there are frequent bus services to Kamari village. An alternative is to call a taxi or rent a car. Also, there is a boat service next to the mountain, with which you can go to Perissa beach.

The village of Kamari is located on the eastern side of Santorini. It is a developed village where you can find many hotels to stay. It has options that are low budget as well as higher often with swimming pools, many of them on the beach.

Even if in Kamari you can’t see the sunsets you can admire the spectacular sunrises and romantic moonrises. It’s the time when the party begins.. as Kamari has a decent nightlife with many bars.

Some very good choices: Love Boat Bar, Albatross, Ethnic Cocktail Bar

There you will also find many restaurants and taverns, many on the beach, some of them belong to the hotels but you can still have a meal.

Best Restaurants & Taverns: Pinakio

There are many beach bars that offer food among them: Love Boat

If you want a cheaper solution for your food there you will find the ‘’Souvlaki Stop’’ the best Greek souvlaki you will try for only 3-4 euros!

Or else ‘’Elias Grill’’.

It also has many small and large supermarkets, clothing stores, hair salons, nail salons, fish spa, souvenir shops, craft stores, jewelry stores and much more.

The beach there is a black sand beach, 2 km long, rocky but the water is very clear. I would recommend you to wear sea shoes and an additional tip is that the closer you go to the mountain the sandier the beach is.
