Summary
It is the island where the famous statue of Aphrodite of Milos was found, located in the Louvre Museum. Milos is famous for its caves, turquoise waters and the unique white rock formations. These volcanic rocks make the beaches red, pink and orange!

Chora: Built in 1800 from the ancient stones of its castle. Climb up to its ruins to admire the beautiful view and the sunset offered by the courtyard of Panagia Thalassitra.
Archaeological Museum of Plaka: In this museum you will see a human-sized replica of the goddess of love, Aphrodite of Milos.
The catacombs: They are ancient Christian catacombs in caves 150 meters above the sea near the village of Tripiti. Thanks to them the Holy Synod has declared Milos a holy island. These were the gathering place of the first Christians and a cemetery at the end of the 2nd century AD.
Mandrakia: is located in the north part of the island. Mandrakia is a small fishing and poetry village.
Sunset in Plaka: Don’t miss to visit this place to enjoy one of the best sunsets in the Mediterranean! Within walking distance you will find the Catholic church of Panagia, the famous well, many restaurants and cafes.
