| Day 1 – Thessaloniki – Kavala (153 km)

Arrival at Thessaloniki Airport. Your tour guide and coach will be waiting for you.

Lunch on the way to Kavala.

Arrival in Kavala and check-in at Hotel.
Enjoy a walk through the picturesque alleys of the Old Town.

City tour including the impressive Town Hall, the historic Aqueduct, and other highlights.
Discover this beautiful seaside city with its unique blue atmosphere.

 | Day 2 – Kavala – Philippi – Kavala (160 km)

Visit the Archaeological Site of Philippi, one of the most impressive ancient sites in Greece. The area includes remarkable archaeological ruins and Early Christian monuments, among the best preserved in the world.

Follow the footsteps of Apostle Paul, visiting the Baptistery of Saint Lydia and the Zygaktis River, where the first Christian woman in Europe was baptized.

Return to Kavala.


| Day 3 – Excursion to the Island of Thassos

Ferry crossing from Keramoti near Kavala to Limenas Port (approx. 30 minutes).

Visit the old harbor and Old Town of Limenas, including the Church of Saint Nicholas.
The town became wealthy through marble trade, a prosperity still visible in the elegant historic houses around the main square.

Continue with visits to:

  • The Ancient Agora of Limenas

  • The Monastery of Archangel Michael, one of the most beautiful monasteries in Greece, famous for its impressive icons

  • The Archaeological Site of Aliki, one of the most beautiful locations on the island

Return to Kavala.


| Day 4 – Mount Pangaion, the Mountain of Myths

Explore beautiful mountain villages, fresh springs, Byzantine monasteries, myths and history.

First stop: Palaiochori, with the castle of Vranokastro and its chestnut forest.
Continue to the historic town of Eleftheroupoli.

Visit the Monastery of Panagia Eikosifoinissa, built around 400 AD, the oldest monastery in the region and one of the oldest in Greece.

On the way to Biblia Chora Winery, a short stop in Mesoropi.

Lunch in Nea Peramos, Kavala at the traditional tavern Apomero.

Return to Kavala with a short stop at the Pilgrimage Church of Panagia Faneromeni in Nea Iraklitsa.


| Day 5 – Kavala – Pella – Vergina – Thessaloniki

Visit the archaeological site of Pella, the birthplace of Alexander the Great.

Pella flourished in antiquity as the capital of the Macedonian Kingdom, ruled by King Philip II and later by his son Alexander the Great.

In 168 BC, Pella was conquered by the Romans and later destroyed by an earthquake.

Continue to Vergina, an ancient city founded in the 4th century BC, featuring palace complexes, sanctuaries and a theater.

The Royal Tombs of Vergina are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit the Royal Tomb of King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great.

Arrival in Thessaloniki and check-in at the Hotel.


| Day 6 – Discover Halkidiki 

Today we explore the colorful region of Halkidiki.

The journey takes you through small bays, unique rock formations and dense pine forests, showcasing the natural beauty of Sithonia.

Stops include:

  • Olynthos

  • Sarti village, known for its picturesque traditional architecture

Lunch at aTavern in Sarti.

Return along the coastal road via Porto Koufo and Neos Marmaras.


| Day 7 – Kassandra & Thessaloniki Archaeological Museum

The day begins with a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki.

Continue to the famous Petralona Cave, known for its spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is considered one of the most beautiful in Greece and is where one of the oldest human fossils in Europe was discovered.

After the cave tour, visit the Petralona Museum.

Next stop: Afitos, a charming traditional village in the heart of Kassandra.

Enjoy a short walk through the narrow streets and the seaside promenade, offering breathtaking views of the sea and the second peninsula of Halkidiki.


| Day 8 – Thessaloniki City Tour

Thessaloniki is a city with more than 2,500 years of history, characterized by monuments from many different eras.

Byzantine, Roman and Ottoman civilizations have all left their mark here. Today, Thessaloniki is a modern commercial, cultural and university city.

The city tour begins at the White Tower, the landmark of Thessaloniki.

Continue through the city to the Arch of Galerius, then to the Old Town and the Acropolis, where you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the city.

Finally, visit the Church of Saint Demetrius, including its underground catacombs.
